Terms & Conditions
The sale of goods from our website and catalogue is governed by these terms and conditions and if the user does not accept the terms and conditions they should not place an order.
Supply time. We aim to supply books from stock by return of post. A delay of 7 – 10 days may occur if we are out of stock of a UK title. Books from overseas can take 4 –5 weeks to arrive.
Methods of payment. Payment is required before the goods are dispatched and can be made using MASTERCARD / VISA or SWITCH / MAESTRO. For those wishing to pay by sterling cheque drawn on a UK bank or UK postal order we can supply a Pre-Payment Invoice and the books will be reserved for 21 days awaiting payment.
Postage and Packing. Items are sent as standard using Royal Mail 1st or 2nd class post. Standard UK postage and packing is £2.99 for the first item and 99p per additional item. First class postage and packing is £4.99 for the first item and £1.50 per additional item. For overseas deliveries please contact us by e-mail with the title's and quantities you require, and the delivery address and we will then quote delivery costs. First Class Recorded Delivery Special Delivery Fed-Ex etc can be quoted for on request.
Price Rises. It frequently happens that publishers increase prices without prior notice. In the event of a price rise from that shown on the website or in the catalogue we will advise the customer of the new price and await confirmation of acceptance before despatch.
Legal Offer. The items and prices displayed on our website and in the catalogue do not constitute a legal offer to sell but invite the buyer to make a legal offer to purchase which the seller may or may not choose to accept.
Damaged Goods. We do our utmost to ensure that the goods arrive in the condition they left us. In the event of goods being damaged in transit these will be replaced as far as possible free of charge and we will pay for the return of the damaged goods to us by post.
Faulty Goods. These will be replaced as far as possible free of charge and we will pay for the return of the faulty goods to us by post.
Confidentiality and Data Protection. Customer’s details entered on the website are for the exclusive use of Landsmans Bookshop only and will not be passed to any third party without your express prior consent. Landsmans may for example advise customers of information updates in areas of their interest.
Law and Jurisdiction. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English Law and the users submit to the exclusive Jurisdiction of the Courts of England.
